The news of the late Queen's death has cast a gloom over the Catholics of this Colony who either as faithful subjects

By her noble and blameless life and just Government she endeared herself to the Catholics of Hongkong no less than to their co-religionists.

On behalf of the Clergy, the several Religious Congregations, the 3ducational 3stablishments as well as of the entire Catholic population, I tender you our heartfelt syspathy and condolence for the great loss the Bapire has sustained in the death of der Gracious Majesty.

frusting that you will convey our deep sympathy to His lost 3racious Majesty, King Edward VII and the Royal Family,

I beg to remain etc.,

(33.) + 6. M. Piazzoli.
